7.4/10

I recently stayed at Hotel Mundial for six nights, and while the location was fantastic, being directly in the city center made it easy to access major attractions, I did encounter quite a bit of street noise. The breakfast buffet was versatile with gluten-free options, but some items could use improvement. The rooftop bar offered stunning views, yet, seating was limited and seemed reserved for specific areas. Overall, the hotel provided a decent experience, but the noise was a notable downside.

Rooms

I had a corner room on the 7th floor, which was simple and clean, but the windows lacked soundproofing, making it tough to drown out street noise. While the room was spacious and offered great views, I noticed a few outdated features.
Service
8.0
The staff at Hotel Mundial were friendly and accommodating. They quickly addressed our request to switch rooms to a higher floor and were attentive during breakfast hours, although the communication could have been a little smoother at times.
Location

The location of the hotel is truly its best feature, as it allowed me to walk to many attractions easily. Being just a few minutes from Rossio station and several tram stops made getting around a breeze.
Dining

I really enjoyed the rooftop restaurant for dinner, which provided a lovely atmosphere and delicious food; however, the breakfast options could be expanded to include more variety, as some choices fell flat.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has numerous facilities like housekeeping and concierge services, but I felt the rooftop bar could use a better layout to accommodate guests looking for shaded seating. The lifts were also quite noisy.

I had a good three-night stay at Hotel Mundial, enjoying its fantastic location and spacious room. The staff were friendly and quick to help, making the experience even better. However, the rooftop bar music was too loud for relaxation, and the lighting on some steps could have been better for safety.
